Sensible Soccer: European Champions for the Sega Master System and Game Gear is based on Sensible Soccer: European Champions 92/93 Edition. The gameplay remains the same: a fast-paced, top-down soccer experience featuring quick passes and an easy-to-use control system. The key difference from the original is the absence of all custom team content. Unlike the 16-Bit version, however, all pre-set tournaments for national and club teams are still present. It is also still possible to create your own tournaments (cups or leagues) with customizable rules using the available teams. The fake player names, however, cannot be changed. The player and field proportions are the same in both versions, but the on-screen area is smaller on the Game Gear.
