Sheepo

Summary

Sheepo is a charming metroidvania-style platformer starring a peculiar shape-shifting sheep-like creature who must journey across an unexplored alien world to gather biological samples from every living species for a vast intergalactic database. To capture a creature, Sheepo must locate its unhatched egg, which is fiercely protected by the species' "queen"—essentially a boss. Each egg collected grants Sheepo the power to transform into that creature, allowing access to new areas and deeper exploration of the planet's expansive terrain. While Sheepo is a metroidvania, it forgoes traditional combat in favor of pure platforming and discovery. As Sheepo collects more creatures, he gains abilities like digging, flying, and teleporting, enabling him to traverse a vast, interconnected world filled with hidden shrines, ancient ruins, and eccentric characters.

Storyline

It’s Sheepo’s first day at the intergalactic species database, and his first mission is a big one: travel to an unexplored planet and rescue all its living beings from the brink of extinction. While it may sound like a monumental task for a single day, fortune smiles on Sheepo—on Planet Cebron, one day equals 8000 Earth days. Sheepo’s assignment is to gather one unhatched egg from each creature on the planet. Every egg he collects grants you the power to transform into that creature upon contact, allowing you to delve into the vast and varied depths of Planet Cebron’s expansive terrain.
