Shien's Revenge

Summary

Shien and Aska were skilled ninjas locked in a brutal civil war. After felling hundreds of enemy troops, monstrous beings emerge and abduct Aska. Now it's up to Shien to battle through these terrifying foes and save Aska from the horrors beyond the Time Gate. Shien's Revenge is a first-person Operation Wolf-style shooter where players take on the role of the ninja Shien. The game automatically controls movement, scrolling the screen horizontally or vertically. Players must use their weapons—a long-range shuriken and a close-range dagger—to take down enemy ninjas and bizarre creatures. A row of candles represents the player's health. Defeating enemies can yield power-ups like rapid fire and scrolls, with the latter unleashing a devastating attack that clears the screen of enemies. At the end of each stage, a powerful boss awaits, requiring players to deplete its health to proceed.
