Summary
Set after the 3D animated film of the same title, the game lets players take control of Shrek, the large green ogre, as he embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona from the sinister wizard Merlin. Navigating through worlds filled with wild reimaginings of classic fairy tale figures, Shrek uses his brute strength and signature burps to overcome obstacles, battle enemies, and gather items to complete Good Deeds and progress to new areas. Each world includes six missions, except for Merlin's castle, and in most levels, two of those missions require either finding hidden Easter Eggs or capturing mischievous fairies that flee when you get close. Other mission types may include defeating powerful bosses or helping characters reach their destinations.
