Summary
Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams is an enhanced edition of Silent Hill 2. It includes everything from the original game plus several new additions. The most notable is a short new scenario titled Born from a Wish, in which players assume control of Maria from her earliest moments up to her initial appearance in the main story. A sixth ending for the main scenario is also introduced, along with a small adjustment that lets players disable the visual filter giving the game a low-budget film appearance.
Storyline
James Sunderland has made his way to the town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his wife, Mary, urging him to meet her at their special place there. But Mary passed away three years ago, and the truth behind her death has remained hidden. Determined to follow through on the letter's request, James questions whether it's a cruel prank or something far more profound. As he approaches the town's edge, he discovers the road is blocked and stops at a deserted rest area. What he doesn't yet know is that this moment marks the beginning of his journey into the enigma of Silent Hill—and the secrets of his own past.
