Storyline
Ten years ago in 2027, Freeport teetered on the edge of disaster. The city’s under-resourced and overwhelmed police force was struggling to contain the rising tide of crime. With the government unable to maintain order, a desperate solution was proposed: a new law allowing corporations to establish their own private security and law enforcement units to protect both their interests and the public. The bill was approved, and a new era of policing was born. Several reputable security forces emerged, and among them, the tough and effective group known as HARDCORPS helped restore stability and curb the city's descent into anarchy. Colonel John Blade, the founder of HARDCORPS, is now on a mission to uncover the source of a dangerous street drug known as "U4." While the substance has been prevalent for some time, recent reports indicate that users are experiencing bizarre and troubling effects. Blade must investigate the growing mystery, identify the force behind these strange occurrences, and stop the threat before it spirals further out of control. The trail leads Blade to the enigmatic Elexis Sinclair, a genius biochemist with a radical vision. She seeks to accelerate human evolution by thousands of years and will go to any lengths to achieve her goals.
