Summary
A sorceress named Merlina, the granddaughter of the legendary Merlin, calls upon Sonic to aid in rescuing the magical world of King Arthur, whose mind has been taken over by a mysterious darkness originating from Excalibur’s sheath, transforming him into the ruthless Black Knight. Sonic’s speed alone won’t be enough to overthrow The Black Knight, so he must wield the speaking sword, Caliburn, to shatter Arthur’s curse and rescue the kingdom. To fully restore King Arthur’s mind and return him to his rightful, kind rule, Sonic must also gather the weapons of Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table and reclaim Excalibur itself.
