Sonic Athletics is an interactive game attraction located at Sega's Tokyo Joypolis, launched on April 25, 2013. Designed for fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the game combines fun with physical activity. Players step onto a treadmill and take control of one of eight playable characters, competing on arcade-style screens as they race toward the finish line. As a full-body interactive experience, the game translates the player's running speed into in-game character movement—the faster you run, the quicker your character advances. The attraction features three different events: a 100-meter sprint, an 110-meter sprint, and a long jump challenge.
