Sonic R is a 1998 LCD game developed by Tiger. It includes a directional pad with only Left and Right options, along with two buttons for "jump" and "run." Additional buttons allow players to turn the power and sound on or off and to view the score. The game requires two AA batteries to operate. It is based on another title of the same name released for the Sega Saturn. The game's background closely resembles Resort Island, a stage from the Saturn version.
