Summary
Sonic Speedway is an LCD game designed for distribution at McDonald's locations. It was included with Happy Meals for a limited period in 2003. The game features two primary buttons that control left and right movement. Sonic pilots an F-1 racecar and must maneuver through a track filled with other racers. The course has three lanes, with one lane always remaining clear for the player to move through. The other lanes are occupied by oncoming vehicles. Each successfully avoided row of cars adds a point to the player's score. Every 30 points earned increases the level and the speed, with a total of four levels to complete. If the player crashes five times within a single level, the game concludes.
