Summary

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles was remastered and included in the Sonic Origins collection, joining the remastered versions of Sonic 1, 2, and CD. The remaster features enhancements like widescreen compatibility and improved resolution, thanks to its use of a different engine than the original game. Like the other titles in the compilation, it also introduces the Drop Dash mechanic, first seen in Sonic Mania. Some of the soundtrack was replaced with music from the PC version of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is based on the game's beta audio tracks.
