Sonic's Action Game is an LCD game developed for McDonald's restaurants and given out with Happy Meals for a limited period in 2003. The game features a single button that lets players make Sonic jump, used to clear obstacles and blocks. Since Sonic moves forward automatically, there's no need for a directional pad. In the game, Sonic runs through the Green Hill Zone levels on his own. Players press the jump button to avoid obstacles, land on platforms, and collect points. Once 20 points are reached, the game's speed and difficulty increase. The game consists of four levels in total. If the player collides with platforms five times within a level, the game is over.
