Summary

Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first-person shooter based on Games Workshop's iconic Space Hulk board game, set in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Built using Unreal Engine 4 by Streum On Studio, the developers of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, and published by Focus Home Interactive with co-production by Cyanide Studio, the game immerses players in a harrowing fight against Genestealers within the confined corridors of a Space Hulk. As you complete dangerous missions, you'll earn experience to enhance your skills, unlock new abilities, and acquire powerful gear. Space Hulks drift through the currents of the Warp, a chaotic, immaterial realm. Composed of massive, twisted asteroids, abandoned ship wreckage, and other cosmic debris, they can grow as large as moons and often house ancient, valuable technology. But they are also filled with deadly dangers, including swarms of the deadly Genestealers. You assume the role of a Space Marine from the most secretive and feared chapter of the Adeptus Astartes: the Deathwing of the Dark Angels. Don your Terminator armor and wield the legendary weapons of the Space Marines to face the horrors lurking in the Space Hulk. As a Librarian, you'll also harness the devastating powers of the Psykers. Your combat prowess earns you Fervor Points, which can be spent across four skill trees to enhance your abilities, unlock new powers, discover powerful relics, and equip devastating new weapons.

Storyline

A massive jumble of abandoned vessels, asteroids, and wreckage, known as a Space Hulk, has erupted from the Warp. It has intruded into a sector already under siege by a Tyranid hive fleet—the gargantuan Space Hulk is named 'Olethros.' The Dark Angels Chapter of the Space Marines respond to the desperate astropathic pleas from the system's beleaguered planets. Yet, a greater purpose compels the Dark Angels to descend into the chaos. Azrael—Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angels—receives ominous visions from his psychic Librarians and sends a strike force toward Olethros. Belial—Grandmaster of the Dark Angels' 1st Company, the Deathwing—is tasked with leading the boarding operation aboard the Space Hulk. Azrael’s seers believe the eerie visions coming from Olethros herald catastrophe. Moreover, they appear deeply connected to the ancient history of the Dark Angels Chapter. You are the Librarian selected to lead your squad into the Genestealer-ridden depths of the Space Hulk. In *Space Hulk: Deathwing*, you will plunge into the heart of Olethros to uncover the sinister truths hidden within.
