Beginning with the Nokia 7210, the follow-up title *Space Impact 303* was not preloaded on the phone but instead offered as a downloadable J2ME application from the Nokia website. Compatible devices included the Nokia 3220, Nokia 3100, Nokia 6100, Nokia 6610, Nokia 6610i, and other models featuring 128x128 resolution screens. Later, a resized version of the game was made available for devices with 176x208 resolution displays, such as the Nokia 6630, Nokia 3650, and Nokia 6600. In the game, players can move freely in both horizontal and vertical directions (with some exceptions in platform-style levels in *Space Impact Plus*), though they cannot alter the speed of the screen's automatic scrolling. As players progress through the levels, they can collect powerups like missiles, bombs, and energy beams, which can be used when standard attacks prove ineffective against enemies. Each level features a variety of enemy ships—some following fixed routes, others pursuing the player's ship, and some actively firing at it (with later versions introducing sub-bosses that appear midway through levels). The original game includes eight levels, set across different planets and underground environments, each concluding with a boss encounter. After exhausting all lives, the player receives a score based on the number of enemies defeated, powerups collected, and levels completed. This score can then be submitted to the Top Scores section in the game's main menu.
