Summary

Storyline

For five years, the brutal struggle surrounding the enigmatic Shadows has torn apart the land of the Dark Elves, igniting a devastating civil war within their ranks. Beyond their borders, unrest continues to grow: a new force is rising in Eo, a looming danger that casts its dark influence across the entire realm, threatening the ancient pacts that once held the people together... Craig Un'Shallach, a Dark Elf General of the Dracon caste, wages war with his kin against the encroaching power of the Shadows, but the battle turns against him. As defeat looms, his daughter Nightsong flees to sound the alarm about the coming catastrophe. She journeys into the contested lands between the human and Dark Elf realms to warn the humans of the treacherous alliance between the Shadows and the Dark Elves, and of the advancing Shadow army led by the deranged alchemist Sorvina toward the lands of light! Armed with this dire knowledge, Nightsong arrives at the fortress of the Shaikan, the fabled dragon warriors, bound by blood to an ancient dragon and feared by both the races of light and darkness. There, she is aided by a brave Shaikan who joins her quest to reveal the truth about the Shadows and Sorvina, and to save his homeland and his family. But to stand against the coming darkness, mighty armies will be needed. The long-dormant alliance of light must be rekindled—an impossible challenge for two beings seen as enemies of the Light.
