Summary

Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy is a portable crossover title that brings together the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot franchises. It marks the first Spyro game crafted by Vicarious Visions. The development team has opted for a more classic side-scrolling layout for Spyro's overworld, moving away from the isometric perspective seen in previous titles. However, the side-scrolling platformer is just one aspect of the game. Spyro Orange emphasizes a wide variety of mini-games and challenges, such as a vertical shooter where Spyro flies around shooting sheep or gathering gems, a fast-paced button-mashing challenge involving tug-of-war and ice cube building, tank driving, or defeating enemies in a Breakout-inspired mode. The game also features link cable multiplayer support for cooperative and competitive play.

Storyline

Ripto and Dr. Cortex have joined forces in a final attempt to conquer the world. Amid the chaos stand the heroes, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. Spyro now journeys through both familiar and new lands, crossing into Crash's world and his own to confront the darkness lurking ahead. Spyro retains all his classic abilities as he embarks on this new adventure.
