SSX

Summary

SSX is the first entry in a line of snowboarding video games focused on extreme sports with an arcade-style, over-the-top feel, featuring massive jumps, elaborately designed mountain tracks, and impossible tricks. Earning medals across various events unlocks new tracks, characters, and boards, while also enhancing the snowboarder's skills. Players can acquire new outfits by completing a character's trick book or by performing specific tricks during gameplay. Three board types are available: Freestyle boards for executing tricks, versatile BX boards for general use, and Alpine boards designed for speed and not for riding backwards. The game's tracks are set in locations around the globe, and the snowboarders, who also hail from different countries, speak in their native languages.
