Summary
In 1995, TIE Fighter was also released with a Collector's CD-ROM edition. The CD-ROM version featured optional improved SVGA graphics, boosting the game's resolution from 320x200 to 640x480. The cinematic sequences were upgraded, and the game included a wide range of voice acting. The CD-ROM package came with the previously released Defender of the Empire expansion as well as the new Enemies of the Empire expansion. It also introduced compatibility for gameplay on Mac OS 8 and Mac OS 9.
