Summary

The game is divided into three episodes, each allowing the player to lead one of the three factions. In the first part, the player joins Jim Raynor in trying to secure control of the Mar Sara colony following the Zerg's assaults on other Terran planets. The second part reveals that Kerrigan was not killed by the Zerg, but instead captured and assimilated in an attempt to integrate her psionic abilities into the Zerg species. In the final episode, Aldaris and the Protoss leadership condemn Tassadar as a traitor and heretic for his alliance with the dark templar. At first, the player aids Aldaris in defending Aiur from the Zerg invasion, but during a mission to capture Tassadar, the player ultimately sides with him instead.
