John Woo Presents Stranglehold features martial arts icon Chow Yun-Fat as Inspector Tequila, a Hong Kong police detective on a worldwide mission to rescue his kidnapped daughter. The game includes a single-player campaign where players assume the role of Tequila, battling through iconic cities like Hong Kong and Chicago to track down the child, who is being held by mobsters and criminals. Players can accumulate style points by executing flashy moves such as sprinting up railings while firing, and when enough points are earned, they can unleash special techniques like the "Tequila Bomb" or activate "Tequila Time." During "Tequila Time," enemies move in slow motion while the player remains at full speed, making it easier to take them down. The game also supports up to eight players in online multiplayer battles, with fully destructible and interactive environments.
