Summary
Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting is a competitive one-on-one fighting game developed by Capcom and launched in arcades in 1992. It serves as the third entry in the Street Fighter II sub-series, following Street Fighter II: Champion Edition. Coming out less than a year after its predecessor, Hyper Fighting brought a quicker pace, new special techniques for select fighters, and additional tweaks to character balance. Hyper Fighting was the last Street Fighter II arcade title to run on the original CP System hardware. It was provided as an upgrade package meant to be installed onto the existing Champion Edition circuit boards. The next entry in the series, Super Street Fighter II, transitioned to the newer CP System II hardware.
