Super R.B.I. Baseball marks the debut of the R.B.I. series on the Super Nintendo. The game includes 700 top MLBPA athletes and all 28 teams with the full 1994 rosters, though it lacks an official MLB license. To comply, team nicknames are left out and colors are modified. Players can select from six game modes: Exhibition, Home Run Derby, Defense Practice, Playoffs, League, where you face every team in the game one after another, and Game Breaker, which allows you to pick from 17 unique scenarios to win under specific conditions. You can also choose Division Champion teams from 1989 to 1993 or All-Star teams from 1989 to 1994. The game's visuals take a cartoonish approach, and while the stadiums are designed to look "authentic," they've been changed to avoid direct resemblance to real MLB ballparks. Unlike many baseball titles, it doesn't include a battery backup, but you can save Series championships using password codes. Jack Buck provides the play-by-play commentary, adding a professional voice to the action.
