Summary

As a follow-up to the classic arcade R-Type series, this SNES installment puts you in control of the R-9, Earth's most sophisticated weapon in the battle against the menacing BYDO Empire. You'll progress through seven challenging stages, collecting power-up items to take down bosses making a comeback from the original R-Type and R-Type II arcade games. Your R-9 can also combine with FORCE units—indestructible guardians that encircle your ship, offering protection and the ability to enhance and launch powerful attacks.
