Summary
A basketball game with 28 teams. Although it doesn't have an NBA license, 27 of the teams are modeled after the cities of their real-life professional teams from that time. The remaining team is an all-star squad. The game includes exhibition and playoff modes. Exhibition mode is the standard team versus team gameplay, while playoff mode pits 8 teams against each other in a race for the championship. Players can toggle fouls on or off and set the number of minutes per quarter. The game uses a vertical basketball court, displaying only half of the court at a time. When a player moves the ball from one side to the other, the screen shifts, revealing the other half of the court. Earvin "Magic" Johnson provides pre-game commentary, while broadcaster Chick Hearn handles the play-by-play during the game.
