Summary

After Japanese video game developer Sunsoft adapted Spy Hunter for the Nintendo Entertainment System, the company went on to design Battle Formula, featuring similar gameplay. Sunsoft America partnered with Bally Midway to launch the game internationally under the title Super Spy Hunter. In Super Spy Hunter, players take control of a high-tech spy car, a heavily armed vehicle capable of transforming into a boat or plane when the situation calls for it. The game delivers fast-paced vertical scrolling action as the player's vehicle battles a variety of threats—cars, trucks, helicopters, and more—sent by a well-equipped terrorist organization. Fortunately, numerous power-ups are scattered throughout the levels, offering both offensive and defensive advantages.

Storyline

In the year 2525, the world is in political chaos. A terrorist group, led by a mysterious figure known as "X," is plotting to strike the United Nations. The CIA is determined to stop these attacks at all costs. After their top agents have all failed, they turn to an unregistered operative — you, the Super Spy Hunter.
