Summary
Lois Lane has been taken hostage, and only the Man of Steel can rescue her! Agents from the fire-wracked world of Apokolips have arrived in Metropolis to disgrace Superman before the entire globe, right in the heart of his city. Teaming up with local crime lord Bruno Mannheim, head of the feared Intergang syndicate, the sinister envoy Kanto equips the gang with otherworldly weapons capable of toppling Superman. As Superman focuses on apprehending Intergang's henchmen, the monstrous Kalibak seizes the moment to snatch Lois and flee to a hidden, remote hideout. Meanwhile, the volatile energy criminal Livewire has escaped from Stryker's Island Prison, determined to exact revenge on the hero who locked her up—Superman.
