Summary

Storyline

Newton City, 2087. Genetic modification is standard, the addictive Trance has nearly eliminated the need for social connection, and a city-spanning AI called Central controls everything. CEL officers Charlie Regis and Max Lao are pursuing a serial Mindjacker who infiltrates the neural networks of everyday citizens, siphoning their knowledge before leaving them lifeless. A reclusive online enthusiast named Latha Sesame could be the next victim. But when ghosts from Charlie’s past resurface, he and his partner end up at odds with each other, with Latha’s future caught in the middle.
