Summary

This side-scrolling brawler pays homage to the iconic arcade games that turned the Turtles into video game icons. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back to tackle the criminal chaos engulfing New York City. Shredder is ready to seize control of the metropolis—and only you can unite the power of the ninja brothers to thwart his plans, both now and in what's to come.

Storyline

The game's story appears to take place sometime after the events of *TMNT: Back to the Sewer*, though a few minor inconsistencies keep it from being fully considered canon to the series. Cyber Shredder has made a return, this time from a far-off future. He sends a Golden Cyber Foot member back in time to test a time-travel device. The Turtles then embark on a mission to stop Cyber Shredder from arriving in the present. During their journey, they defeat numerous Purple Dragons, Foot Ninjas, and several familiar TMNT antagonists. All of the game's cutscenes were written by Sam Regal, who also provides the voice for Donatello.
