After the conclusion of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Jin Kazama emerges victorious over his father, Kazuya Mishima, at the Mishima Zaibatsu’s Honmaru temple. Disillusioned by Kazuya’s failure, Heihachi Mishima confronts Jin, only to be overpowered when Jin taps into his Devil form. At the final moment, Jin regains his composure and lets Heihachi live before walking away from the battlefield. Shortly after, Honmaru is unexpectedly attacked by a swarm of Jack robots originating from an unknown location. Heihachi and Kazuya are forced to join forces against the relentless assault, but as the battle escalates, Kazuya turns on his father and flees. The temple is obliterated in a huge explosion, and Heihachi is believed to have perished. In the wake of the destruction, a shadowy figure watches the aftermath and confirms Heihachi’s death. Although the Mishima Zaibatsu appears to have crumbled, an unidentified leader swiftly reclaims control and reinvigorates the organization’s strength. One month later, the Zaibatsu announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, igniting the start of a new and uncertain conflict.
