Tetris 2 introduces a new method of clearing blocks from the playing field, differing from the original Tetris. Each level begins with a grid filled with colored dots—black, gray, and white—with one of each color blinking. The falling blocks also come in these three colors. By placing a block of the same color directly above or adjacent to a dot, you can eliminate both the dot and the block. Clearing a blinking dot will remove all dots of that color from the board. The goal of each round is to clear all the dots, not the blocks themselves.
