Summary
The Battle for Olympus was created by Infinity and Radical Entertainment for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Nintendo GameBoy. It came out in 1988, just one year after the release of Zelda II. The game drew inspiration from the popular Zelda series, incorporating a range of unique weapons and tools that become available as the player advances.
Storyline
The Battle for Olympus is set in Ancient Greece, a land now plagued by Hades, the ruler of the underworld. Orpheus, the game's central hero, must venture into the depths to save his beloved Helene from Hades' grasp. The game features a wide array of mythological beings from Greek legend, such as Cyclopes, Centaurs, and Medusa, along with many of the Greek deities. Armed with upgraded weapons and abilities, Orpheus journeys through the underworld, overcoming countless enemies in his quest to defeat Hades.
