The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind marks the next installment in The Elder Scrolls Online saga. This exciting new journey brings Elder Scrolls enthusiasts back to the fabled island of Vvardenfell, the same legendary open-world RPG setting introduced in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
An Epic Elder Scrolls Tale: Set approximately 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls III, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will transport players on an expansive journey through the fabled land of Vvardenfell. Featuring beloved locations, memorable characters, and compelling story arcs, the expansion will evoke nostalgia for long-time Elder Scrolls fans while expanding ESO’s rich narrative into a thrilling new era. The island of Morrowind faces a dire threat, and it’s up to brave players to aid Vivec, the legendary warrior-poet and protector of Vvardenfell, as he uncovers the cause of his strange illness, regains his power—and prevents the world from falling into ruin. Bringing a vast new region, a brand-new player class, over 30 hours of main story content, a fresh Trial, and an innovative three-team, 4v4v4 PvP mode, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be the most ambitious expansion in ESO’s history. It offers seasoned players a return to one of Tamriel’s most iconic regions and provides newcomers with an unforgettable Elder Scrolls adventure. Return to Vvardenfell: Vvardenfell is the largest zone ever added to The Elder Scrolls Online, mirroring the same geography as The Elder Scrolls III, including all major landmarks from the original game. Players will traverse treacherous landscapes across Vvardenfell 700 years prior to the events of The Elder Scrolls III, from the bustling docks of Seyda Neen to the fiery Ashlands, through lush, fungal-filled forests, and into the still-developing grandeur of Vivec City. New Class – The Warden: Players will wield nature-infused magic as they take on the powerful new class – The Warden. As ESO’s first new class since its launch, the Warden offers a range of abilities that allow for diverse playstyles, staying true to the freedom and flexibility of the Elder Scrolls experience. The Warden also brings a fearsome new combat companion – the War Bear – a mighty beast that will fight fiercely at the Warden’s side in even the most brutal encounters. New PvP Mode – Battlegrounds: Known for its large-scale open-world PvP in Cyrodiil, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind introduces a brand-new competitive mode – Battlegrounds – featuring fast-paced 4v4v4 battles in enclosed, arena-style settings. Players will clash in the Ashlands to prove their skill and earn their place among the greatest warriors in Tamriel.
