Storyline

The Finals is set approximately 75 years from now, around the year 2100. It is the most prestigious virtual game show on Earth, boasting a massive international following and serving as a gateway to an expansive digital world beyond the physical one—referred to as Meatspace. In this era, virtual reality is where the majority of people spend their time, and THE FINALS offers them the chance to become contestants, competing in highly realistic arenas for fame, fortune, and the approval of generous seasonal sponsors eager to reach the show’s vast audience with their brands and products. The game show has become a focal point for the rogue hacker group CNS, who have executed several takeovers, urging viewers to "seek the truth beyond the walls." Their ongoing conflict with MultiCo’s contracted cybersecurity firm, VAIIYA, has only increased the show’s visibility. However, most people remain unaware that a new and mysterious 'Third Force' has been watching—and is now stepping into the spotlight.
