The House of the Dead: Overkill

Summary

Overkill is a rail shooter where character movement is pre-set, and players control the shooting by aiming the Wii Remote at the screen to guide the targeting cursor. By pointing the cursor near the screen's edge, players can adjust the camera angle slightly in that direction, revealing an expanded view called "Danger Cam." The story mode supports single-player or co-op play with another human, offering either single-weapon or dual-wielding control options.

Storyline

During the Cold War, the U.S. military developed a powerful superhuman formula known as Formula X, but the project was ultimately abandoned after it failed. The underground facility where the experiments took place was sealed and left to decay. In 1991, seven years prior to The Curien Mansion Incident, AMS Special Agent G is assigned his first mission and dispatched to a quiet Louisiana town to probe a string of missing persons and track down the ruthless crime lord Papa Caesar. With mutants involved in the case, G is compelled to partner with Detective Isaac Washington, a local officer determined to seek revenge for his father’s murder—orchestrated by Caesar himself.
