An action game inspired by Henry Selick's iconic stop-motion film. Players step into the shoes of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, and experience the eerie adventures of Tim Burton's Halloween world. Continuing the story after the events of *Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas*, players guide Jack as he seeks fresh ways to frighten children during the Halloween season. Upon returning home, he discovers that Oogie Boogie has made a comeback and Halloween Town is once again in danger. The game blends action, platforming, and rhythm-based mechanics, as Jack must engage in musical combat to overcome key bosses and advance the narrative. Each showdown is accompanied by a distinct song, bringing the haunting melodies of the film's soundtrack to life through an innovative and interactive format.
A year after the movie, Jack Skellington begins to feel that Halloween has lost its excitement and become too predictable. He discusses the issue with Dr. Finkelstein, brainstorming ways to enhance the next Halloween with fresh scares and new ideas. The doctor presents Jack with the "Soul Robber," a green, whip-like tool. Jack then sets out to find new terrors, remembering the lesson from his past mistake and choosing to search only within his own world. Meanwhile, the equally bored trio of Lock, Shock, and Barrel awaken Oogie Boogie, who manipulates Dr. Finkelstein into building an army of minions. Oogie also captures five of the seven leaders of the Holiday World. His ultimate goal is to become the "Seven-Holidays King" by seizing control of Christmas Town. However, on December 23, Sally manages to send a magical paper airplane to locate Jack and alert him to the crisis. Jack returns to Halloween Town on Christmas Eve, only to encounter Oogie’s shadow. After defeating it, he is given the Halloween Holiday Door and discovers that everyone has been tricked by Oogie into setting up traps around the town. Wielding the new "Soul Robber," Jack explores both familiar and new settings, each packed with puzzles and enemies to overcome. As he travels, Jack can shift into different forms—like the Pumpkin King and Santa Jack—to access special abilities and different combat techniques. As players advance, they will meet a variety of characters from the original film, including Sally, Dr. Finkelstein, and the troublemaking trio Lock, Shock, and Barrel.
