Summary

The Settlers II: Veni, Vidi, Vici is a real-time strategy computer game developed and released by Blue Byte Software in 1996. Its gameplay closely mirrors that of its predecessor, The Settlers, but features a Roman setting and enhanced visuals. It serves as the second entry in The Settlers series. Many fans of the franchise regard this as the best game in the series, mainly because later entries significantly altered the transport management system. Its enduring popularity prompted Blue Byte to release a remastered version titled The Settlers II (10th Anniversary) for Windows, as well as a port of the original game for the Nintendo DS.

Storyline

At the mercy of the elements, a shipwrecked Roman crew struggles to reach a seemingly abandoned island. As their leader, you must ensure the survival and prosperity of your people. Survive the harsh conditions, build and expand your economy, and remain vigilant against rival factions—Vikings, Nubians, and Asiatics—as you strive to make your way back to your homeland.
