Storyline

Dedicated Sims can finally take a break from their daily grind in *The Sims 2: Bon Voyage*, giving players a chance to escape the cold and pursue travel-related goals while gaining experience as globetrotters. Gamers can choose from exploring an Asian-inspired setting, enjoying a mountain camping trip, or relaxing on a tropical beach. Sims planning a getaway can contact their travel agent to book a luxurious hotel or a more affordable lodging option for their family. Wealthier Sims can bypass the agent entirely and buy a vacation home in their preferred destination. Once the journey begins, characters can explore ancient ruins, join in on the Lumberjack Games, and befriend fire dancers (or even Bigfoot!) to discover new social moves and earn achievements. Every skill learned can be shared with friends back home. Exploring each location also reveals unique jewelry and artifacts that can be used to furnish their house or given as gifts. Every Sim deserves a bit of downtime now and then. Step away from the daily routine by traveling to distant places, taking guided tours with randomized itineraries, lounging on the sand, or braving the wilderness in a camping adventure—either solo or with a group.
