Summary
The Sims 3 is a console game created by Edge of Reality and published by Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For the first time, players had the ability to upload and download content through Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, including free player-made creations from the Exchange, as well as paid items released by EA. As of July 2018, the console version of the Exchange was shut down. Similar to The Sims 2 for PSP, the game has been removed from the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store, making the digital version available only to those who previously purchased it. The same restriction applies to the Pets expansion.
