The Sims Bustin' Out is the second game in The Sims console lineup and the first entry in the series not to launch on PC. It retains the 3D environment and engine from its predecessor while introducing features inspired by The Sims expansion packs: The Sims: Hot Date, The Sims: Superstar, and The Sims: Livin' Large. Bustin' Out hit the shelves for the Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and N-Gage during the final quarter of 2003. True to its name, the game allows Sims to leave their homes and explore new locations like Shiny Things Lab or Casa Caliente. The game includes two distinct modes: Bust Out Mode, which features mission-based gameplay, and Freeplay Mode, offering open-ended fun similar to the original The Sims PC experience.
