Summary

Those Who Remain is a psychological thriller set in Dormont, a small town in the United States. At first glance, Dormont seems like any other typical American community. But it is haunted by a demon that has cast the entire town into shadow. The majority of its residents are now trapped in this darkness, unable to escape. Edward Turner is an average man with a troubled history who finds himself in the wrong place at the worst time. He quickly realizes that something sinister is happening in Dormont. In the darkness, strange and deadly creatures prowl, hunting anyone who ventures too close. The only chance of survival is to remain in the light. But the threat from the dark is only part of the mystery. There are also strange portals that emit a brilliant glow, seemingly transporting those who step through them to another world—one that is familiar yet altered, surreal yet undeniably real. Whatever happens in one realm has consequences in the other.
