Timelines: Assault on America is a real-time strategy game that takes place in an alternate version of World War II.
July 20, 1942, Berlin, Germany: The United States’ Office of Strategic Services (OSS) uses intelligence gathered from the secret German resistance opposing the Third Reich to execute a bold plan. They initiate Operation ‘Wolf’s Head,’ sending elite sharpshooters to blend into a grand rally held in tribute to Adolf Hitler. As thousands of spectators raise their arms in salute and chant praises, the blue Mercedes convertible carrying the Führer glides through the Berlin street. Suddenly, gunshots ring out, chaos erupts, and the crowd erupts in screams. German officers rush toward the car, only to find Adolf Hitler slumped in his seat, two bullets in his skull. One officer cries out, “He is dead!” July 21, 1942: In a state of fury, German authorities arrest and question thousands of citizens suspected of involvement. The German military, now aware of Operation ‘Wolf’s Head,’ abandons its strategy to invade the Soviet Union. Instead, they persuade their Axis partner, Japan, to join in a coordinated invasion of the United States. Germany will strike from the east, while Japan moves in from the west. The U.S. Army must now stand firm against the impending **Assault On America**.
