Summary
TOCA World Touring Cars (known as Jarrett & Labonte Stock Car Racing in the USA and WTC: World Touring Car Championship in Japan) is a racing video game created and published by Codemasters. It was launched for PlayStation in 2000 and later for Game Boy Advance in Europe in 2003. The game is part of the TOCA Touring Car series. It includes a range of international Touring Car championships, but despite the TOCA branding, the fully licensed British Touring Car Championship (ToCa) was not featured. This omission disappointed many series fans, although the game still found success. The gameplay shifted more toward an "Arcade" style, with random starting grid positions replacing qualifying laps and the removal of penalties for poor driving, making it more accessible to casual players. Interestingly, unlike the first two games in the TOCA series, World Touring Cars was never released for Microsoft Windows.
