Top Gear Overdrive

Summary
In the primary gameplay mode, players compete through six seasons, each featuring more races on a wider variety of tracks with increasingly powerful cars. At the start of each race, the player begins at the back of the grid on the starting line, while AI opponents at the front often get a head start by beginning a third of the way around the first lap. Players begin with three nitrous oxide charges, which can be used to provide a short burst of speed. Each track includes shortcuts, and using them effectively often determined the race's outcome, especially in later seasons. After each race, players are shown an upgrade screen where they can enhance their car's acceleration and handling. They can also switch to a different car—either better or worse—and purchase additional nitrous oxide for the next race.
