Summary
Top Gun: Guts and Glory is a contemporary jet flight simulator launched in 1993 for the original Nintendo Game Boy in Europe and North America. This game is loosely inspired by the Top Gun movie starring Tom Cruise. As players take control of a high-tech U.S. Air Force pilot, they progress through ten missions, engaging enemy fighter jets while fending off hostile aircraft. Available aircraft include the F-14 Tomcat, the F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighter, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, and the Soviet MiG-29 Fulcrum. Players can choose to pursue a long-term career path, join quick combat scenarios, or conduct bombing missions. Passwords allow players to save their progress in the career mode. Due to the limitations of the original Game Boy hardware, players can only face up to two enemy planes at a time.
