Touch the Dead (known as Dead 'n' Furious in Europe) is a rail shooter and survival horror title for the Nintendo DS, developed by Dream On Studio and published by Eidos Interactive under their Secret Stash Games imprint. The cover art was designed by artist Arthur Suydam, renowned for his contributions to the Marvel Zombies comic series. In Touch the Dead, players engage in rail shooter gameplay, using the stylus to target zombies approaching on the lower screen. Aiming with the stylus triggers the weapon currently selected by the character Steiner. Players can shoot zombies in the head, arms, legs, or torso. To reload, players tap and hold the clip icon (found in the bottom-right corner of the touch screen) and drag it to the bottom-left corner, where a magazine graphic is displayed. The D-pad and face buttons are used to switch between available weapons. Both control schemes function identically and are compatible with both left- and right-handed players. Health and ammo can be restored by firing at crates and cabinets. Players can also shoot switches to unlock doors and choose between left or right paths at intersections. Regardless of the path taken, the same rewards will be available.
