
Tourist Trophy: The Real Riding Simulator is a 2006 motorcycle racing video game developed by Polyphony Digital, the creators of the acclaimed Gran Turismo car racing franchise. Tourist Trophy is among just four PlayStation 2 titles capable of 1080i resolution, with Gran Turismo 4 being another. The game heavily utilizes the engine from Gran Turismo 4. Tourist Trophy made its debut in China on January 26, 2006, followed by a Japanese release on February 2, 2006. The NTSC version came out on April 4, 2006, featuring seven additional motorcycles, new rider gear, seven extra background music tracks, improved visuals, an exclusive "Semi-Pro Mode," and bike profiles. The PAL edition launched in Australia on June 1, 2006, and in Europe the following day. This version includes two more motorcycles and five new BGM tracks from European artists Infadels, Vitalic, and Hystereo.
