Summary
Argonaut Games had struck a deal to develop a video game based on the TV series of the same name. The project was intended to utilize the Super FX chip, an add-on for the SNES that made 3D gaming significantly more feasible. The game was eventually cancelled, with speculation that its assets might be repurposed for another Super FX title, Vortex, featuring a robot that could transform into different vehicles. However, following an interview with Retro Gamer, it was confirmed that Vortex and Generation 2 were entirely distinct projects.
