Two Crude Dudes is a 1991 arcade beat 'em up developed by Data East. The game was later brought to the Sega Genesis in 1992. Outside of Japan, the Genesis version retained the title Two Crude Dudes, while in Japan it was known as Crude Buster. In the game, players take on the role of one of two mercenaries recruited by the U.S. government to dismantle the terrorist group "Big Valley." The mission is to reclaim a devastated New York City from the organization after it triggered a nuclear explosion.
It's the year 20XX. A nuclear device laced with chemical agents created by a deranged scientist detonates in New York City, transforming countless residents into brutal mutants ready to follow any order. The scientist forms a group he names "Big Valley," made up of these creatures and equipped with cutting-edge military hardware. He commands them to seize control of the devastated city by force and block all entry. In a last-ditch effort, the U.S. government recruits two powerful mercenaries to infiltrate the city and destroy the villains who now rule it.
