Summary

Yuko has ascended as the goddess of the Vecanti world and has presided over a time of peace since Glames was vanquished. However, unrest begins when the prince of the Dark World, Galgear, starts seeking a mystical ring. This artifact enhances his strength, yet at the risk of losing the control it might otherwise grant him. The deities of Vecanti foresee the danger and seal Galgear within a crystal submerged deep in the ocean. Fifteen years later, Galgear escapes his confinement, abducts the former hero Valna, and is soon chased by forces commanded by Cham. One of Lena Brande's companions, Lena herself, asks for the chance to sneak into Galgear's fortress and rescue Valna.

Storyline

After the events of *Valis III*, Yuko has ascended to become the goddess of the Vecanti world, maintaining peace and order since the downfall of Glames. However, unrest arises when the prince of the Dark World, Galgear, begins searching for a powerful magical ring. This artifact enhances his strength, but at the cost of his control, a fact the gods of Vecanti quickly recognize. To prevent catastrophe, they imprison Galgear within a crystal and submerge it deep in the ocean. Fifteen years later, Galgear escapes his prison, abducts the former hero Valna, and flees, prompting a pursuit led by Cham and her forces. One of Cham’s allies, Lena, asks for the chance to infiltrate Galgear’s fortress and rescue Valna alone. Though Cham is hesitant, she is swayed by a mysterious voice and agrees. Lena takes her twin sister, Amu, with her. The two reach Galgear’s inner sanctum, but are confronted by the prince and his ring. Just as Galgear prepares to destroy them, they are suddenly teleported away by a magical force—Asfal, Galgear’s father, who reveals that only the legendary Valis sword, now lost from the world, can stop his son. Determined, Lena and Amu race through the heavens of Vecanti to retrieve the sword, which Yuko herself bestows upon them with her blessings. Armed with the mystical blade, the sisters return to Vecanti and confront Galgear, ultimately defeating him.
