Storyline

By the end of the 20th century, Earth's population had surged past 10 billion, driven by an alarming rate of growth. As food and energy supplies dwindled, conflicts erupted over the planet's vanishing natural resources. Amid this era of fear, instability, and despair, America turned to the heavens, pinning its hopes on the SC-01 Providence space colony. The colony, however, was not spared from the societal ills that plagued Earth. The Order of the Russian Star, a faction of the Russian military that had seized control of their nation through a coup, launched a sudden invasion of the colony. They quickly began repurposing the microwave energy array into a devastating weapon in orbit, then unleashed its terrifying might on the citizens of San Francisco. With their declaration of war complete, the Order issued an ultimatum: the United States must surrender unconditionally within 10 hours, or New York City would face annihilation. Firmly refusing to yield to such aggression, the President had no alternative but to authorize a military operation to destroy the invaders and reclaim the colony. Command of the mission fell to Lt. Col. Robert Burns. DARPA agent Sam Gideon was also deployed, equipped with a prototype of cutting-edge weaponry.
